Exclamation I need help...my male dog is trying to mate..but..

Heres my situation. I have a 2 1/2 year old male pure bred red husky. I also have a 2 1/2 old female white husky. i just adopted her and brought her home today to my house. My male husky is literally constantly trying to mate with her. She gets along with him except when he is trying to mount with her. When he mounts her, she always snips at him every time. Is this aggressiveness from the female going to wear off eventually? Also is my male eventually going to calm down trying to mount her 24/7? They are wonderful dogs and i would like to fix this.

First question first... are they both fixed? If they are the mounting is from dominance. Your first dog is trying to show his dominance over your new dog, most likely this will stop as they get adjusted to living together. Continue working with them on their obedience skills and consult a professional trainer if you feel it is getting out of control.

Hi there, is the female on heat? if she is then he could possibly smell the scent either she is at the beginning or the end as if she were in the middle off her season she will allow him to mount... or it could be a friendly thing he is doing, it can be a sign off friendship mating or he is just telling her who is boss. IU f she is on heat her rear ie vulva will be swollen.. she will bleed for 0 - around 11 days some stop before and some stop after, she will then remain swollen but wont bleed for around 4 ish days this is the time she will allow the male to mount without growling, be carful at this point. then she will prob bleed again for a few days... and the swelling will start to go away.

hope that helps.
