Your female cannot be bred until she is at least 2 years old BUT there is SO MUCH to think about.
Are your dogs champions?
Do they have other titles?
Does your male habe his OFA hips, elbows, CERF and other clearances (your female is to young to be cleared still but MUST be done when she turns 24 months BEFORE you breed her)
Do you have breeding rights on both dogs?
Have you taken breeding, repro, whelping and first aid classes?
Do you know what tests to do before you breed?
How to handle a mating? What vet appointments you female needs while pregmant?
DO you have the money for the C-section that most mastiff breeds require?
Do you have homes for all the puppies?
Money for QUALITY food, vet visits, shots, worming, trainer fees to temperament test the puppies, etc.
Breeding can be very rewarding but it is also stressful, expensive, heartbreaking (I know people who have lost their bitch whelping), stressful and EXPENSIVE!
Please feel free to ask any questions you want.. there are quite a few breeders on here (many of whom seem to know how to do it correctly)
