I have 2 Shar-pei dogs, a male and a female. I've had the female for about 4 years and the male for 3. The two dogs love each other, but when she gets in heat she wants nothing to do with him. The male tries to do his thing but he mounts her on her face. Is there something wrong with my dog? I dont think he knows what hes suppose to do. Its sad to see him crying and whining when he cant get it done.

Well, get them fixed. You shouldn't be breeding unless you are trying to improve on the breed, not because you have a male and a female.

It does sound as though you dont have much experience with breeding dogs.
This is the easy part. Pregnancy, whelping and newborns are the hard part.
I would just spay/neuter and love them as great pets.

I agree with the above posters. Unless these dogs are both champions, get them spayed/neutered. There are way too many unwanted dogs in the world already.

mounting of the face dosent mean their something wrong with the dogs,not all dogs want to be bred and chances are either thou the male has the right idea he just dosent relle understand fully.I mean i breed jack russell terriers to keep my males generation as he comes from good hunting and showing lines i breed for quailty NOT quantiy if you are looking at to really breed your dogs what are you aiming for as alot of people have mentioned their are alot of dogs out there in shelters who would love a second chance at a home.
