Have you ever bred before? Are you working with a mentor that can help you?..How old is your female and how old is the male?..Has your female been tested and checked by your vet to make sure she was healthy enough to breed?

Do your dogs meet the standards for their breed?..Has either of them been shown, confirmed or titled?

If you are determined to breed but obviously have no real understanding of what is happening between the dog and the bitch at the present time why not keep them apart and spend the next 6/9 months studying breeding, talking to responsible breeders and finding someone who can mentor you and help you through the process when your bitch next comes into season.
