i have been breeding boxers for about 8 yrs and all has went well until now. im a little confused about a recent breeding. my female was on her 11th day of her cycle and i put her and my male together and they had 2 slip matings. by slip matings i mean that my male penetrated and everything they just didnt get stuck together. this also happened on her 13th day and 14th day. i have bred these 2 dogs a year prior and had no issues. i was wondering if she could get pregnant with no 'tie'? if so, is it just a slim chance? like i said all together they had 6 slip matings. any info will help.

Yes it is possible he could have impregnated her without actually tie.

thank you. i thought he could but just wanted to see what others thought. hopefully we will have boxer pups in 7 and a half weeks..

Yes, is very possible. Of course, the odds are lower without an official tie, but still totally possible.

i suggest to you to put each one separate from other with 0 possible for contact, then the male will feel he should do it and also the female. after that they will.
