I am trying to breed 2 of my AE dogs.
Both of them are titled in the UKC. I don't show alot in AKC but my male is pointed with 1 major.

My male is 3 yrs old, and my female is 2 yrs.

Both have had Optigen and OFA done, both have come back clear and good for both dogs. Cerf has not been done cause there is no board certified opthomologists within a reasonable distance to me.

My girl in on day 9 of her cycle, she started flagging on day 8. She is standing for my male but he is not penetrating. The 1 time he started to she freaked and snapped at him.

I have already talked to my breeder and he said to hold her so she doesnt freak when he enters her, but had no suggestions for helping my boy since his boys always figured it out after 1 or 2 trys.

My boy is only 1/2 inch taller than my girl so I don't think it is a size issue.

Any suggestions on helping my boy get the job done?
