My female boxer is in heat. This is her 11th day in heat. I put the male boxer with her yesterday he tried mounting her but kept missing. I thought he had finally got it right but nope missed again. He has never bred before and neither has my female. She is flagging him and standing for him but after that one good try he hasn't tried again to mount her. He will follow her around and lick her but I haven't seen him mount her again. What can I do to help the situation?

Sometimes you have to be very "hands on" and actually guide him into her and hold them together.
