first off i know that i should be watching my dog better...but here is my story...my dog came into heat the week of april 18...i left her in the care of a dog sitter while i went out...when i came back i was informed that she had gotten out of the room she was staying in and "locked up" with the dogsitters chihuahua..this was on april 30..my questions are:

is one time a GUARANTEED pregnancy?
when should i start counting?


her vagina is still swollen and i was told thats a sure sign shes pregnant.
shes 2 years old and a deer chihuahua and the dog she bred with is about 7 years and a tiny bit bigger deer chihuahua.

There are no guarantees. You need to see a vet. If the pregnancy was not intended you could have taken her directly to the vet and it could have been dealt with with very little risk.
