Default Trying to find a pembroke welsh corgi

Hey there! I'm hoping this helps me find my next dog. I'm looking for a pembroke welsh corgi. I have done my research and this dog is the dog for me and my husband. I live in Alaska which is the problem. There is only one real breeder up here and she has a lot of rules in buying her dogs. I understand why I'm not complaining I think its great she cares so much for her puppies. I am trying to find either a breeder up here (in case theres more I dont know of) or someone who is willing to fly up a puppy to Alaska? I'm not looking to include this new family member until summer due to the fact that its cold right now and there is not as many direct flights to Anchorage. If anyone knows of a breeder or you are a breeder I would love to hear from you. Thank you for taking the time to read my thread. Happy New year!

I dont disagree. One of her rules is she will not sell to anyone without a fenced backyard. Heres the thing Anchorage is mostly condos, townhomes, apartments and HOA's that do not allow fenced backyards. I live in apartment I already own a GSD and am well aware of how much excerisize he needs and we get out everyday. Just because you live in an apartment doesnt mean you are a lazy person. I know living in an apartment with a big dog means I need to get him out it helps me and helps him. I'm looking to get a little friend that is up to playing with a big dog and can keep up! A corgi is perfict.

Go look at your local shelters. We get corgis and corgi mixes here all the time. I hate the rules rescues and breeders have about fences. I have 5 dogs and no fence. The only dog I ever lost and couldn't find was when I lived in a place that I had a fence and the landlord came in my house while I was at work to do some work and left the front door and the gate open and I never did find my dog again after that. So, even if you have a fence, crap happens and there isn't any guarantee that a person with a fence is going to be more responsible in keeping an eye on their dog when it goes out than a person who doesn't have a fence.
