Unhappy Please help

my dog delivered 4 puppies early monday morning. after delivery things seemed to be going great. mom was urinating and pooping and drinking water. as of yesterday things have turned for the worst. she has been vomiting after she drinks water ( not immidiatly afterwards like a hour or so after drinking) shes seems to be trying to urinate and poop but nothing is happening. she seems to be very depressed almost. i tried to give her food and she wants nothing to do with it. i am not a dog breeder and this is her first litter and my first experience with pregnancy and delivery. im lost and confused, all i want is for my girl to be ok. please someone help me.... what do i do???

Call the vet. If she has an infection she needs antibiotics. If she has pyometra she needs to be seen as soon as possible. I can't stress strongly enough how urgent it is for you to seek veterinary advice.

You should have had ex-rays taken while your dog was pregnant so you knew how many puppies your dog was having. That way, if your dog didn't deliver them all, you would know about it and rush it to the vet. I would have your vet make sure your dog delivered all of it's pups. If it didn't it could cause your dog to die without vet care. After checking to see if your dog is ok at the vet, I would get your dog fixed. There are a lot of people in the world that are unaware of the pet overpopulation and they don't know that 2/3 of the dogs being born end up in shelters and over half of those are euthanized. It is truly sad to watch those dogs get euthanized because people aren't aware that they really should get their dogs fixed.

Wow I did not know this could happen. I know Hunters was his moms second litter. The first litter was fine she had two. Hunter was one of 4 and was delivered c section. They fixed his mom, they didnt want to chance it and loose her or not have healthy pups.

Yes, it's a very real possibility. Especially if 1 or more of the puppies has died before it was born. The bitch can quit being in labor and not deliver the pups that didn't survive. If it isn't taken care of, the dog can die and leave the rest of the litter without a mommy.
