Unhappy Not birthing

I have a bitch that is 59 days along and has had a textbook pregnancy. Yesterday her temp dropped to 98.4, eyes dilated, clear fluid discharge, excessive licking, digging, panting, discomfort, apatite loss, found her dark place, and mild uterine contractions. So I went into prep mode, spent all night with her on the floor, but she has not broke water or started contractions. She is still very alert and actively walking calmly with no apparent pain. I am afraid to leave her and go to work, but am also concerned she could hold it for a few days. Any thoughts?

I don't think you should leave her - have you made arrangements so that there will be someone at home with her for a while from the time the pups arrive?

Yes I will be, I am just concerned that she may not whelp for a few days based on her behavior and I will have used my vacation time set for the puppies on nothing. :/

Using your vacation time on your dog isn't for nothing. If your dog needs you at home right now, take the time off.
