I think you can add lillies to that list as well.
Although it is very toxic and very fatal for cats, even more so.

I think it is the pollen on the stamens that does it.
Don't let your cat or dog brush up against them and then lick it off their fur.

I believe it's the caffine in chocolate that kills them. A dog's system can't tolerate chocolate. Some dogs can tolerate a very small amount. Which makes me laugh because in the malls around here, there are bakeries that make chocolate treats that are speciffically for dogs!! Stupid people!

I didn't know fabric softeners would kill a dog. I knew about all the rest though. That's not good. LOL My dogs LOVE the smell of my fabric softener sheets. Do you mean the sheets, the liquid, or all of it?

Oh, & if Tylenol kills your dog, why do vets recomend it for a fever? When my dog had puppies, she got milk fever. I gave her a Tylenol every day until she got better & she's fine.

Thanks for telling me why chocolate would kill a dog. Thank goodness I have never gave my dog chocolate but if she found any she would eat it. Know I need to let my kids know what it could do to her so that they don't feed her any.
Thanks

It's the chemical Thiobromine in Chocolate that is extremely toxic to dog. Dark chocolate is worse than milk as it has a higher cocoa content. Also beware of cocoa mulch thats sold for gars=dens as it is also toxic.

Ibuprofen/Brufen is extremely toxic for dogs and causes Kidney failure.`1

I've heard a few times before that chocolate can really kill a dog, but I didnt know until now, thanks for the info.

I believe cruelty can also kill a dog, since they have feelings too, don't you think so?

My parents always told me that cheese could kill a dog. They also mentioned the chocolate... but I'm such a choco-holic that I would never even think of giving it to my dog. LOL, I know bad, greedy me. My dog did manage to get into some chocolate sandwich cookies though, last year, and he was (pardon the pun) sicker than a dog for the rest of the day. Since then he has stayed away from all cookies.

Thanks for this list; that's a great reference.

I believe that onions are also very toxic to dogs.
