Default Nice weather to bring them in, or is it?

With the heat we have had this summer, my "Spoiled" dog would stand at the back door, and Ask to be let in, when he got too hot. As a matter of fact, it was usually at the same time, that the Central Air unit kicked in....... The past few days though, the weather has actually been cooler at night, and the reverse is opposite, he can't stay outside long enough.........

Yes I think that it is a good idea to let the dogs in during that really hot weather I also feel the same when its raining or snowing outside or when its so cold that you turn into a icecube when you walk out the door lol.

Judging by your name, you have a Malamute. It's not good to let them out for long periods of time in the heat any way, as they were bred for COLD weather. You could probably let him out longer in the winter time & not really have to worry about it. Although, if he asks to come in, you should let him in. LOL You don't want to freeze his pads.

I can't let me dogs out for very long in heat or cold, the sissies! LOL They get sick when it's too hot & start to shiver when it's below 60 degrees! They are very temperature sensitive. I never have my dogs out unless I'm out anyway. So that's not really a problem.

Yes, I do have a Malamute, and he's a spoiled "Big" dog...... It's usually not my decision on when he goes out or comes in, he usually makes that decision for me. As a matter of fact, he is pretty opinionated, and speaks his mind, when he doesn't agree with me......
He has a big yard to run in, and I have fenced off about 1/2 of the yard, so he stays out of trouble. So he spends a lot of time outside in the yard, if he wants to run around.....

I think it's quite easy for some dogs to get heatstroke, and sometimes, depending on the time of day, it can be cooler in the house than outdoors.

So sometimes it's only sensible to let them in and have a bit of a cool off.

Dogs will let you know when its to hot or to cold as they will tell you they want to come in, well this is what I've always found with my dog.
