Lightbulb Neem tree products for dogs.

Neem tree products are more natural for pet care.
The extract from the neem tree contains antifungal,
as well as wound healing properties.

There are so many neem tree based products on the market.

In our case, we do not have to buy commercial products.
We have several dogs at home and when we need to
control fleas or when our dogs have wounds or are beginning
to exhibit some form of skin infections (due to cuts, as in
dog fights) all we do is to peel away the skin off some
branch (not the main trunk of course!) and steep it in a pail
of water for sometime. The water will turn deep reddish at
this point. We use the water as the final rinse when we
bathe the dogs.

Sometimes, we even make poultices out of the leaves for the
same purposes.

Somehow it works for our dogs.

I've never heard of that. It sounds interesting though. Thanks for the info. I'll have to look into it further.

new update!

apparently, neem tree has many varieties. my mom has a friend who works in some kind of forestry institution and he gave my mom a species of neem tree that is more pungent (more evil smelling). we tried to fumigate our house with its dried leaves (burnt, smoke circling the house).

we'll try to use this to de-flea (is there such a word ) our dogs later. but the tree is so young yet...
