Default Dogs and TV?

Does your dog pay any attention to TV?

Is it the video or the audio that gets his/her attention?

My dogs "watch" movies with us all the time. LOL It's usually a little of both that keep them captivated. The noise usually get's their attention first though.

Audio. Phoebe totally cares nothing for the video, but if she hears other dogs barking on TV or -- heaven forbid! -- a doorbell on TV, she totally goes crazy! funniest part is that we don't even have a doorbell in our house, but she still hears one on TV and goes racing to the front door.

We let our pet watch movies with us only if the movie is all about dogs. Recently, we let her watch "8 Below" featuring 8 snow dogs who were left befind beacuse of snow storm. It was a great movie and I think she can relate to the story since she's so focused on the tv.
