Default Introducing a new Puppy

Hey Dog lovers, I have been considering getting a new puppy for my son, but I'm a little concerned about how my dog may react. There hasn't been another dog in the yard to play with, in over 8 years, so I'm trying to be cautious. Anyone have any stories, either good or bad, about introducing a new puppy to the pen???

I had to do that with both the females that I have now. They are about 1yr apart in age. I had 2-2yr old dogs when I got my first female. You might be surprised at how your dog reacts. He might like the puppy. If not, just take it slow. Don't shove the puppy in his face & don't let him be mean to the puppy. If the puppy has bad experiences with him, you'll have to worry about how the puppy will treat him when it gets older. But if you take things slow, you should be fine.
