I've heard of someone who intentionally tasted her pet's food to be sure it was good.

That sounds a little extreme to me, although a friend once offered me chocolate pieces which turned out to be dog treats. I've eaten a dog treat.

That was before I heard chocolate's bad for dogs.

Well if she was doing this to make sure that it tasted good I really don't think that she would find one that tasted good to her. LOL this is funny I have never tasted my dogs food and I really don't think that I want to.

I smell it.. never put any of it in my mouth. My daughter though..I caught her eating it, and I have to hide the bag, lol! She likes to sneak it...grosses me out.

Me & my brothers used to eat it when we were kids. LOL I haven't eaten dog food in quite some time. I find it repulsive now. LOL But obviously, I didn't then.

it never smelled that bad (we fed him science diet from a can)..but I would never eat it

My man thing and daughter have both tried out dogs kibble food the few times we have given it. He will eat anything though, she made a horrid face lol I personally wouldn't put that stuff in my mouth because there are very little regulations if any on kibble dog food production, so there's not telling what you could be eating.

if your daughter is eating the pet food, she may be having some type of deficiency... it has alot of sodium and tastes pretty salty, she may be lacking in sodium or some trace minerals found in salts..may wanna check that out

I will never eat the commercial dry dog food. It smells yucky. I tried Alpo with gravy once. It doesn’t smell gross so I ate a teeny weeny piece. It is yucky. I don’t know why my dogs love it. Haha. But the dog biscuits taste great. I think it’s a cheese and garlic. It tastes like human food but with less flavor. My brother and I were in a car on the way home from the groomers when we ate one biscuit. My mother was wondering what we were eating. Haha. We never told her.

I remember tasting dog food when I was a young child after being dared to by my lovely brother. Needless to say I haven't talked to him for years and he most certainly isn't lovely anymore!

I used to eat it when I was little too. Cant believe it now. eww but my big brother tells me when we used to go to the babysitters after school I would load my ppockets down with it. ugh, maybe I shouldnt have shared that. haha

I have never tasted dog food, and probably never will. I only need to smell it to remember why I wouldn't want to. Although I've seen dog treats that look so yummy that I'm really tempted to eat them!

I never tasted dog food. It was the dog tasting my food. Actually, if the dog food is delicious and can be eaten, why not give a try? There's nothing wrong with it as long as it's not poisonous. That's how I love my dog.
