Default Bad Groomer =/

So today I took my dog to the same groomer's he's always gone to. He's a poodle/yorkie mix and his fur gets really long and silky. I ALWAYS ask to have him "just trimmed" and "cleaned up" so today he gets back to me and I see that he's practically been SHAVED and his fur is all different lengths and just horrible! I'm so upset.. he doesnt even LOOK like my dog and I just don't know how to approach the goomers. I really dont want to have to pay 40 bucks for that, so should I ask for my money back? Ahh, i'm horrible with confrontations.

I would let them know you arent satisfied especially since it was not even close to what you told them you wanted done. You might also mention that unless they make it right not only will you not be back (dont say that unless you mean it) but that they can get a whole lot of negative advertising for the $40.00 it cost you for a bad haircut. Before that though, just ask them why they did it that way. Was your dog badly matted? Maybe they had a reason or maybe not but never hurts to ask.

Even if her dog was badly matted, there's no reason for the groomer to leave the dog all splotchy like described.

I would definitely ask about why he looked like that, they may have had a new groomer in training, and let them know that you aren't satisfied. A professional groomer would be concerned that you weren't satisfied, and would do everything in their power to make it right. Even if that means giving your dog a free haircut to fix the problem cut. If they don't offer to fix the haircut or give you your money back, ask them about it. If nothing else, I'm sure there is another groomer you can take your dog to.

I would go confront her about it. Just remember (even if, for example, she was a top notch groomer), you wouldn't be the first one to tell her you didn't like the job that was done. I would definitely go back and even take your dog and show her what you didn't like. She shouldn't give you any problems. I wouldn't pay anything for a service that I didn't like!

geez, and this was the groomers' you've always gone to? That's ridiculous. I hope it's something like they were training someone new, but still, to charge you for doing the opposite of what you asked?

hmm...you've (presumably) already paid. I think you ought to call on Monday and ask to speak to the owner. Maybe they'll give you a discount or freebie for your next grooming.

You should definitely talk to your groomer about it. It might have just been a some simple problem. Your dog might have been squirming too much, and they might not have wanted to even the fur up, because then your poodle would look completely shaved. For $40, you deserve an answer.

WOW 40 bucks that is so high I think that your dog should look awsome for that price I would complain complain and see what they tell you I think that you should get a free cut if nothing else.
