Default Dogs like music?

Does your dog seem to respond to music, other than high pitches which may be uncomfortable to him/her?

I've seen videos of dogs who get "singing along" with their owners sometimes - It's pretty funny.

My dogs don't really act any differently. Sometimes if the music is REALLY lous or has parts that might pop out at them, they may bark.

Phoebe doesn't notice music. When I first got her as a puppy and I had to leave her at home when I went to work, I'd put on talk radio, though, as I figured maybe it would make her feel less lonely hearing people talking.

My pet doesn't respond to any music at all. She prefers watching tv instead. I think she's attracted mostly to the characters or figures she saw on the tv. But mind you my pet is very particular when she hears sounds at night. I think she will be a good security dog. lol:mrgreen:

My dogs really aren't that interested in music or television. It was fun trying to explain to our petsitter that they don't need to have the main television on for the dogs, but that the parakeet upstairs would like to have her television on .

he starts to blink sleepily...and nods off to sleep...

i have to videotape it and put it on youtube..its hilarious.

i have to hold my mouth closed so i dont laugh outloud and wake him up.

My German Shorthair, Sandy, howls to certain music; the intro music to Law & Order, Golden Girls, and a few others. I asked my vet if she was doing it because she liked the music or didn't. She said they've never been able to determine if it is enjoyable or uncomfortable. But it is funny to hear 'cause it's the only time she howls.

My dog likes R&B music. He used to wiggle his tail and barked 3 times. R&B music made him energetic. I can differentiate his behavior if no music at all. Now, He is in the process of learning how to dance.

Wow! Not only does he like music, he has a preference...

There should be a reality show where dogs dance with their owners.

That reminds me of some great tricks on David Lettermen's "Stupid Pet Tricks."

I'm quite the metal head and Kujo will lay in front of the speakers and get excited when I put music on unless it's Motley Crue. Then he barks like crazy until I shut it off...LOL.He also loves to watch Animal Planet.I leave it on for him when I go out.
