Default Traveling with your baby(ies)

We travel alot and as we see more and more people travelingw ith their babies, its interesting to have an idea which hotels are dog friendly, which restaurants are dog friendly and which sitting service is good........
IOts never easy to leav your baby in amotel with someone, and certainly we dont do ot much but its nice to have an idea of who to trust.

I travel with my dogs when I can. A lot of places don't allow you to have Pit Bulls though, so it's hard to travel with them.

I've found it really hard to travel with pets. A lot of hotels don't accept them and my dogs would always get really hyper when we traveled with them

We travel with our dogs (anywhere from 6-10 dogs) 1-2 weekends per month. Many hotels accept pets, most Super8, Days Inns, Motel 6, Hampton Inns, Holiday Inns, just about any of the main ones accept pets, not all of them do but many of their locations do. Some of the mom n pop ones will to, just depending on their policy. You can get the books for each motel they give them out for free and see which ones take pets, you can also check online, if you want to make a res. or find out if a motel you want to stay at takes pets go to their website and it will tell you along with the other things they offer (like free breakfast or swimming pool).

Some require you pay a fee per pet (like an xtra $10 per pet per night), others take a $50 deposit and once the check the room you get it back, others don't charge anything but that is rare, one we stayed at in CO didn't charge us anything and I had 2 females that stayed in the room almost full time (while the others were with us), one was pregnant and one has a litter of pups and they didn't have a pet charge so it was cool.

We have never run into any problem with them not accepting our dogs because they are Pit Bulls, and this is at motels/hotels all across the countries in different areas/states. None of them have had a breed restriction or prohibited breeds. We've never been rejected because of their breed. The one that actually didn't charge us was just outside of Denver, CO (basically you drive a couple mins and you're in denver) where they banned Pit Bulls and have had a lot of problems with the breed but the owners didn't have a problem, one of the house keepers was scared but she is scared of any dog she doesn't know no matter what breed. So it hasn't been hard for us.

I know there are laws involving pit bulls in Ontario, but I'm not sure how they affect travelling through the province.

Has anyone here had any experiences with this?

Default we stayed at Red Roof

When we went ot Red Roof Inns in Michcigan we took our basset. They charged us an extra 50 bucks and they took that off of teh room when we checked out... so it was like a nice little refund.

Atlanta also was a redroof in........ and theyw ere super nceice even down to tehcoupon for KFC for us for a dinner for him! But we used it for everyone!

I've never traveled with any pets. I have a hard time finding any pet friendly places to take my dog. Plus I know that when we would leave the room the dogs would freak because they are in a strange place. I would rather just leave them at home with my mom and sisters coming over and being the sitters. A lot less stress on my animals, I think.

We go camping alot so we can take animals with us. Many camp grounds are pet friendly and if you prefer not to rough it so much many on site vans and cabins are available that will allow you to take your furkids with you.

That is cool, I love camping and haven't done it in awhile, we always take pets too!

We don't take all the dogs, some stay at home and are cared for, but I have one female that has to be anywhere I go, I can't leave her with anyone! No Way! So I don't really have a choice.
