Hello all
I have a 2yr siberian husky. New to my about a month ago.She's a great dog, but I cant get her to go down stairs. would she be afraid of hights.
It would be great to have her down with us.

She is probably just not used to stairs. Give her a little bit of time to get used to them. Some dogs just don't like steps though.

You may have to do it a little bit at a time. We have very steep stairs up to our loft where we and Bo sleep. He was very scared but we just did it bit by bit. We would put him up two stairs and he would climb down, building his confidence.

Give the dog time. Eventually, after watching people travel up and down the stairs, the dog should attempt and conquor the challenge.

She might be afraid of stairs. We had to put cheese on the steps to get our dog to learn to go down them. Treats might work if she's afraid.
