Default Marking maybe?

My GSD is 19 mo.old, is he starting to mark? He does not lift his leg, and he has never ever gone in the house, but for the last 2 days he is peeing. Of course, our vet is closed on Sat. so, I have to wait until Mon. to have him checked for a UTI. Has anyone ever gone through this? He was easy to house train, and has never made mistakes, so, I think it is an issue for the vet, but, he has lately, been sniffing more often, to find the perfect spot to pee. Today, we made sure that he was brought out every 45 min. and he has not done anymore in the house. But, I have never dealt with this before, he was neutered at 6 mos. and most of my past dogs, were neutered around a year. Any input would be grateful!

I hope this gets cleared up quickly - And I think it's excellent that you're following up with the vet as soon as possible, in case it's a medical related issue.

Best of luck.

Default Not nessacerily marking

Our vet says that it happens when neutering is slightly off.
sometimes there is a shock to the urethra.
Often it will pass, sometimes however it doesnt. If it doesnt,, then I sugegst taking him to another vet to see if theer was a small miss......
none of ours that were neutered had that.

Went to the vet today. And he does not have a problem. So, I think that it is a marking problem. and guess what? He started lifting his leg. At almost 2 years old!!!!!! I have also never heard of this before, but well all dogs have their own personalities.
