Unhappy anxious,pacing,& very timid

Hello,
My 5 year old cocker spangiel got a hair cut on Tuesday morning while our new couch was being delivered. He came home and seemed ok...... in the afternoon he was barking at the door at another dog passing by and he might have hurt himself because he stopped barking abruptly. Now 3 days later he is breaking my heart!!!! He seems so upset. He would not get up this morning. I had to call "grandmom" to come over. He then went outside and seemed ok. His back legs are sometimes shakey but he is walking normal. Tonight all he is doing is pacing. Going around and around the table. When he finally sits he puts his all body into you. What is wrong????????????? Could the groomers have given him some kind of drug? Or worse, hurt him and he is remembering all what happened on Tuesday? Is thwe new couch upsetting to him? We have had him all his life and he has never acted like this. Please Help!

First thing to be done is call the vet. If the vet rules out any medical reasons, then we could start offering advice for his change in behavior.

I agree, he needs to be seen by a vet. Find out if its medical. Good luck and keep us posted.

I agree, take him to the vet. They will be able to run drug tests on him to find out if the groomers gave him something. Although, I think most drugs will be out of his system by now, so I don't think that's what's going on. The vet will also be able to figure out if the shakey hind legs are caused by something serious.
