Very emotional about this, but my lab, has been in a lot of pain in the last few days.
He is unable to use one of his hind legs and when this pain strikes he paces around, panting and crying like I have never heard.
Took him to the emergency room the other night and he is on painkillers, but has not eaten (except for some milk bone biscuits) in a day and half and I am administering water to him with an eye dropper.
The emergency room ran blood tests and all came up normal, but I fear the end is near for my ol' pup.
Sweetie, it sounds like he could have a torn ACL or a Luxating Patella. Did they do any x-rays on your dog or just blood work? I'm assuming they might be thinking cancer if they ran blood work. How old is your Lab?
Not a torn ACL or Cancer, but neorological damage from 2 disks.
He is currently on steriods and painkillers and we'll see where this goes over the next few days.
