my son is doing science project on dog's paw preference - we need to "test" at least 50 dogs and see whether they are left or right "pawed" - would appreciate any help - get dog to give you their paw or to paw at something three times and then the result would be 2 out of 3 as to whether they are left or right pawed - also need to know if they are female or male, thanks so much - lstout

Hey! Neat experiment. Let us know what the outcome is. I have two dogs, both female and both, without a doubt, left pawed! Every time I say "give me five" they give me their left paw.

Cool!! I have two dogs, both male, and they always give their Right paw!

Our oldest dog is 6 years and female, she is right handed. Our 23 month old is male and he is definately left handed. He will give both, but the right hand is more to the right, he can't seem to focus on our hand as well with it.
