I have just been reading about a situation in Japan where more than 250 dogs who have been abandoned by a breeder are on death row because the authorities in charge don't seem to care enough to save them.
Some of the dogs have an infectious disease and although it can be cured they don't seem to want to spend the money or allow rescue groups to help.
I picked up the story on the UK Border Collie Rescue site at Border Collie Rescue on Line It sounds sad and unnecessary to kill all these dogs and there are links where you can send emails to protest.
I have sent a couple of emails off to try and help.
Can anyone else help out or spread the word.
There are all sorts of breeds involved including pups.
