You should check witht he local shelters and let them know what you are looking for. They can hook you up with the perfect dog for your family. They run all the dogs through temperament tests and have the ability to match good dogs with families that will love them.Rescue a dog from the pound, you will find a very happy friend who will love you for it!

It depends on your lifestyle,where you live,how much of a yard y ou have,amount of shedding you'll tolerate,activity level you're interested in. There's the standard poodle,lab,golden retriever,german shepard,pit bull, rotweiler, doberman,bull dog shnauzer,beagle, corgi

Boxers are fantastic with kids--if the kids are small, an older one would probably be best, since it'll be more aware of its size. You can get fantastic boxers through purebred rescue organizations...they can help you find one that is already used to kids.

I really don't believe that it is what kind of dog, but how you teach them. But Labs are great with kids and are prone to be friendly. Just make sure that you teach them to be calm and friendly , right from the beinging.

I think the best dog for kids or adults is a Shorkie. It's a Yorkshire Terrier and a ShiTzu mix. They LOVE kids. They're non-allergenic and they dont shed. Best dog I've ever owned. They dont bark alot either.

Well I think u should get them a beagle they are energetic and love to play. Like your kids probably will like that. But if u do get a beagle u have a give it a lot of walks, because if u don't for a long period of time when u walk them they want to run. So just keep that in mind. Also beagles love kids and they are really friendly dogs. Good Luck!

I wouldnt suggest anything too small with kids, id say either medium to large dog . any breed it good as long as its trained properly.shelters have tons of dogs/puppies waiting for homes, i'd start there!

it depends on how much u want spend.... really how old r the kids, where u live..house/apartment..what u like big /small dogs. mine are miniature dogs. a yorkie and a maltese. adult size=5 pounds. they are lovely, playful sweet and do not eat much, do not poop much, do not mess up the floor much. they can't reach the couch or the dinner table. they can't pull the table cloth or the drapes. they r the kutest and if u teach them right they would not drive u crazy with their barking and the mess. they want to play all the time. my husband loves to play and walk them to the park. my kid who is in college now loves to bring them to her room when she is here and my niece who is 5 loves to play with them.my neighbor has an autralian shepperd. it is big, grows to 60 pounds, has the most beautiful coat, body and face for a dog,and their kids are pre-teens. it lives in the house and they took him to dog school.my other naighbor has a beagle..short and stocky.. barks like crazy, and looks funny.so it depends on your likes. go around to the park ,watch dogs at play with their owners. do a computer search, ask around. do not buy the first thing u see and do not go to the store at the mall. get a breeder even if is not in ur state, they ship to u a a cost. the whole thing will cost u a couple of ku can go to the pound and see what they have, but u do not know what u get .. good luck... expect to spend some money in food, vet, toys ..they r like kids...u will love them

I would get a cocker spaniel, I have spinal bifida and My brother bought home a cocker spaniel and she was like my service dog and she would anything and everything for me, When She would wake up and I would still be sleeping she would come and see if I was okay. she was the best dog I ever had.
