I have a 9 wk old boxer. When we put him in his crate around 12am for bed he seems to do fine until around 3 am. At that point he starts to cry, howl, and claw at the door to no end. It gets to the point where my girlfriend takes him to the living room to sleep with her.
Any advice on where the crate should be?
Should we ignore the screaming and crying no matter how long or bad it gets? I'm worried it's making him hate the crate and is starting to be afraid of it.

Okay he is a really young pup, and he wants to be with you. Our young pups are always in the bedrooms at night. That way we know if they have to go out and void because they can tell us. Daytime is a different matter. So, the crate should be in your bedroom for night time.
