Default I need help with my dog?

what do you do when a dogs nail is broke and is deep in the paw. And Yelps everytime you touch it. Is there something I should do to ease the pain. Should I call the vet.

Call the vet but first bandage the foot.

I would call the vet. It might be poking in the paw and getting aggravated.

definitely seek a vets advice, i know a dog can literally bleed to death from cutting their nails too short!!not to mention infection and sheer pain the dog is in. would you go to your doctor if your whole nail was ripped out till all that was left was deep inside your cuticle??

There is nothing that you can do to ease the pain, it heals on its own. At least that's what happened to my dog with a similar situation, only he also had an open wound so he wore a clean sock on his paw to make sure no infections gets in. It is best to call the vet and ask.

You can give the puppy some Children's Motrin, and it will ease the pain for a little while, you can do that twice a day, depending on pup's weight if its under a pound give it 1/2 a cc in a syringe and if its over 5 pounds give to 1 cc in a syringe and if its over 10 pounds give it 1 1/2 cc in a syringe.. but if the pain continues to worsen or it starts bleeding take it to the vet it make require surgery to remove it completely, which then the vet will put it to sleep to do.. If it starts bleeding take your thumb and press slightly over the fingertip until the bleeding stops, which shouldn't take very long to stop, hope that I have helped you!!!
