Default Can Animal protection take your dog away if?

Someone calls them and says you abuse your dog or do they have to have more proof? Thanks!!

I'm pretty sure they need more proof. Not word of mouth, they'd probally check the dog for wounds, etc.

They need proof - usually, they need to see the dog and the dog's living conditions and make sure everything is okay with the dog.

if someone calls saying you are abusing your dog, then someone may/will probably come out and investigate. It may not turn into them taking your dog away right away, but it could lead to it..

If someone makes such a call, they´ll visit you at take a good look at your dog and its living conditions, if everything seems just fine, they won´t take your dog..

If there is enough evidence suggesting the dog has been abused they can take it away, but usually they do a check and then let you know what needs to be fixed and come back to see if you've done it. They don't like to take people's pets if they can help them fix whatever problem is there.
