I didnt really lose her, well I did as I didnt know were she was. One time she ran off in the park when I wasnt looking and I was running around like a loony calling her & trying to find her. Turned out she wanted to ignore me because she found something in the bushes which was of more interest lol.

It was a horrible horrible feeling though I though she had been stolen! I was terrified!

I lost my dog once. I was so sad. I thought maybe he was hit by a car or someone had stole him. I looked every where and counldn't find him. Come to find out he was sleeping under the house. I was so happy he was safe.

When I was young I remember loosing my Nan's dog. We were looking after him for her as she wasn't very well and he was a bit much for her at that time as he was a German Shepard. He actually dug his way under the fence. We searched everywhere for him and eventually went to give the bad news to my Nan, only to find him sitting with her getting a stroke!

Just thinking about this brings me out in a cold sweat.A few days after we had just moved house two and a half years ago.My stepdaughter went over to the shops to get a birthday card taking our dog millie who was six months old.Ten minutes later she came running back crying saying that when she was in the shop some man had been stroking millie. When she came out of the shop millie had gone.
I ran next door and told my neighbour he ran over there while I phoned the police. My next door neighbour brought millie back ten minutes later. She had been in a truck, the man who was a druggie had sold her to the gypsies.A minute later and millie would have been gone for ever.

Actually, Monday this happened to me. I was FREAKING OUT. My great dane and goat went off together. We have tons of cornfields around here that go for miles and miles.

We thought nothing of it at first, thinking that they would be back by dark. Because the Dane likes to sleep in the woods and he's really hard to wake up. Well, night came and we started checking with neighbors (the one we didn't check with til the next day, of course) said that yes, he saw the dog and the goat around dusk at his pond.

He allowed us to go into his fields to look for them. So, mom and I went out all day yelling for these 2 and still nothing. My husband did too after he got home from work. Still no dogs. We got calls from 2 neighbors saying that their garbage was all over the place .. I figured my dog would be hungry... I felt really bad.

I was starting to get really worried. Because brutus is such a huge dog, I didn't want people to be afraid of him. Plus they are scared to death of the road, so I knew at least what path they were on. We went out looking all night.

SO YESTERDAY actually...Day two, I wake up let our lab out ...still no brutus or goat.. catch a glance out of the corner of my eye.. and there were my pets!! They both came home on their own!! I was tickled pink!! I have never been so worried and so happy in all of my life to see them!!

Our dog has a roaming problem now since we got the goat...

Yes. We lost our Mini Pinscher, Mini Mo. He was just 7 or 8 months old. We thought he was just sleeping in my room. It was too late when we realized that he's lost. We printed posters and posted around our village. A group of kids went to our house and said that they saw somebody grab our dog. It's so sad.

I had a Feist (rat terrier)/beagle mix who loved to run away--she'd jump the fence. Sometimes she'd come back immediately, other times it would be a day or two before she'd show up. One time she was gone for a week; I was absolutely convinced she wasn't coming back that time.
