I would love to know what breeds my dog is made up of. I have a mongrel called Tarka. He's mainly black, with gingery-tan on his face, eyebrows, legs and the underside of his tail. He has a white belly and chest and long hair. He's medium-sized, very sensitive, very intelligent, hates to be left alone and has tons of energy depsite being 11 years old. He loves to be stroked and loves playing with his toys. He's very social with everyone, growls at no person or dog. He's called Tarka because he hates getting wet, it's an ironic name which comes from 'Tarka' the otter!

He looks like a german shepherd mix, maybe german shepherd x golden retriever?
He is a beautiful dog.

Looks like a border collie to me. The like to herd and keep other animals in line. It's just in their breed. My best friend has 2 and when her 4 labs get to playing too rough, her border collies bark and try to break them up. Good Luck. Your vet should be able to definetly confirm the breed.

He almost looks like a Lassie (in the face). Yes, I believe he has a bit of Collie in him.

Hi, Tarka is really cute. I definately agree with the others in that he has Collie in him. I would say Collie/Retriever mix. That might not be correct,but definately a Collie Mix.

has a lot of Collie,probey Border Collie..maybe some Retriver or German Shepherd,but anyways..CUTE!

id probubly say Saluki and Beagle and Collie mixed but i cant b 2 sure. sorry

Kelpie was the first thing that I thought of when I saw his face, I would ask your vet they should have some idea

My husband said definetly Collie ..mixed with a bernese mt...sheppard too...

I would say a Border Collie with German Shepard. Very cute and sweet companion.
