I just found a tick on my dog' head. It was a yellow/whitish colour. We removed it but the head is still in there. I only found that one and she is still active and eating and going tothe washroom. I just finished applying the drops on her neck and rear. Can someone tell me if I should be extremely worried or if I should wait it out before going to the vet$$? What are signs I should looke for if she is getting sick? Thanks a bunch!
K-mac, i would suggest you call the vet and see what they think, they may instruct you on how to remove the head or may suggest you bring her straight in to see them, Vet will give you the best advice on this one.
K-mac, Nat is right, vet gonna give you right advice how your get rid off those ticks. You may use tweezer to remove tick, it is advisable to get them on side rather than on top, more accurate between tick's jaw and dog skin. Vet can also advice for wound ointment and shampoo to control ticks.
