Default worms...

hi, i found out tonite from my dogwalker that one of my dogs had worms in his stool! she said that they were white, thin, & about an inch long. i cannot find info on a worm w/that description. does anyone know what kind of worm this might be?

i will be taking both of my dogs promptly to the vet for some kind of worm treatment tomorrow morning. i'm just worried about there being a worm infestation in my home now, w/me possibly contracting them too.

does anybody have any experience they can share w/me about their dogs getting worms? they have never had it before & i am very worried & saddened that their health may be in danger.

You have done nothing wrong, intestinal parisites are very common in all of our pets, worming tablets and treatments only help us keep them at bay and under some sort of control.

It is certainly possible that if your dog has worms that the rest of your household may do so or be at risk of having them too, there is nothing to be ashamed of, unless you leave it untreated.

We worm the whole household at the same time, humans and pets alike. You can buy good worming treatment for humans at your local pharmacy.

DONT BE EMBARESSED ABOUT IT, and dont think you have done something wrong, it is just one of the downfalls of pet ownership, and just one of those gotta do things to make sure all remains well.

Sounds like tapeworm, refer to your vet for a medicine to take.

It is common on dogs when they ingest the fleas, its egg carrying.
