My Doberman did this through out his pampered life. So I would give him a clean white towel to use. but he did not wine. hope your dog sleeps in the same bed room with you. I also strongly suggest a bed rather then a blanket to sleep on, I have three Deluxe Slumber ball beds from Dr Foster & Smith, the 44incher. They seem to be the only ones that the right design. I keep them in the bed room (2) one down stairs sometimes the male likes to sleep away from every one once in a blue moon. When I first bought them I was sure they would not know what they were used for but the minute I took one out of the box, they both jump into it and made there little cubby holes and practice napping! My main concern here is that your dog is not in pain, or being left alone for long periods of time. Hate to say this but a second dog added to the family might help alot I know it made a BIG difference when I got our second best freind in the world to join the number one dog. Hope this helped alittle!
