im trying to surprise my friend and her dog with a doggy coat for xmas but i dont know what kind of dog he is. i dont want to ask her in case it tips her off on the surprise. i do know he is a mix and he is 14 years old now. can anyone tell by looking at the picture and tell me the dominant breed in him so i can find more information regarding his weight and height on the internet.

you need to know actual measurments & weight to buy clothing for a dog, the same as for people. there is a tremendous amount of body on that little dog. I think he is going to be difficult to fit

why not take her ( & the dog ) shopping with you so you don't pick out something she doesn't like. I really don't see any way to make this a surprise. it won't do any good to give her a gift certificate as those things usually sell out at Xmas
