Do You 'humanise' Your Dogs?
Lets face it, dogs are pack animals. They don't feel ALL the emotions us humans do, they have more primitive instincts than we do, and are quite happy to follow those instincts if left to their own devices. They are extremely selfish creatures - yet they don't mean to be, it's just that they're not used to putting other people's feelings first. They think on a more basic level than us, but still; do you humanise your dogs...?
Me - yes i do. It's not intentional, and i wouldn't dream of buying 'clothes' for my dog, but whennever i have something on my mind, i tell my dogs all about it, knowing full well they won't tell a soul but just listen. The fact that they haven't got a clue what i'm talking about is completely irrelevant to me!
Animal experts will tell you that dogs are incapable of love - but do respect. I know my dogs respect me and i do agree that dogs don't 'love' their owners as such, but i happily convince myself that they do!
Do you humanise your dogs?

Hi, I dress my puppy when its cold outside and he is my best friend so if that counts as humanise, than I guess I do.

I hold conversations with my dogs, and sometimes they even whine back as if on cue!

Well thats your concept! Fortunately most dog owners do not look at it your way! When my little girl comes running into the house and jumps on the sofa to snuggles up next to me, and when I touch and pet her she gives this sound of satisfaction, that all I have to know. My dogs would put there life on the line for me as many others dogs have done for there owners. BTW, we are pack animals in a way also, why do we get together on Christmas with family, and stick together throughout life. duuuu

I'm with you on this one and I don't know how anyone can say dogs are incapable of feeling love be it an expert or not....Dogs don't talk so how can some expert reliably say what they feel?...You'll never convince me my dogs don't love me...I've known of dogs who have grieved themselves to death after the loss of their owner...I don't think that would happen if it was as simple as respect!...JMO
