A more helpful photo would be letting the pup stand on his or her feet, no one holding. Would give a better over all perspective. I think, also at six weeks things can change alot say at nine months you may be able to tell more. At any rate its a cutie, hope you give it a lasting good home and much love!!!!
That is a tough one! My guess because of the puffy hair would be German Shepherd as well, but possibly mixed with Akita. The shape of it's nose makes me think Akita. Hopefully the brindle colors don't come from mastiff Or you are going to have a very large dog on your hands. German Shepherd\Mastiff!
My thought would have been either an Akita or a Chow. I had a Chow mix, and he sort of looked like your little one. He's soo young still. Who knows what he'll look like in a few months. Good Luck. He/She is adorable!
That is an adorable puppy! I also saw some Akita in there, but I agree that it is very difficult to tell at such a young age. Possibly some GSD, but I don't have much experience with them as puppies. Put up some pictures at a later age, it should be easier to tell.
