Unhappy My dog is seriously ill - Please help

Hello all.

I have a very lovely dog but he has been very sick for past 10 days. He eats very less and keeps vomiting. I have listed the complete history of the problem and current situation in this post. Please help me how to get my doggie back in joyful, face-licking and playful condition.

My Dog› Breed: Labrador & Alsation Mix
› Sex: Male
› Age: 8 Years, Male
› Weight: 20-25
› His routine: He used to be a very Hail -n-hearty dog. A very active and a Strong dog. But was intouch with other domestic dogs as well.

Symptoms
› He lost his Activeness:
˜ From past many days, he was sitting dull and very reluctant to move even a bit. So, I got concerned.
˜ He is particularly not ready to move his back-right limb. It seems like something is hurting in the lower abdomen. My Vet is suspecting that the dog has hurt his hips and is suggesting for an X-Ray as well.
› No proper Intake; Vomiting:˜ He is not interested to eat anything. Even the sweets that used to be his favorite. So, he has become very weak now
˜ Whatever he eats, he used to vomit it out. But now, he is vomiting out Water only. Seems like his body is accepting food but not water.
› Frequent Urination - Drinks a lot of water˜ He keeps on urinating, even on his own bed, which is not normal at all. He never used to do that. His urine keeps on dribbling.
› Pain while passing stools˜ He has become so incapable of moving that even he is passing stools on his bed and never wants to move. He feels extreme pain while passing stools.
› Howling/whining n Crying ˜ He cries at night and tries to lick his lower stomach sometimes. He also feels extreme pain while walking and passing stools.
› Fever˜ When I first visited the Vet, it was around 104. But today, it was subnormal. (99.4 something)

Liver Function Test

S protein 7.2
Albumin 4.7
Globulin 2.5

Alkaline Phosphate 260

What has been tried already
› What Doctors are saying?˜ From the report! Its clear that Kidney is related somewhere. Liver seems to be alright. My dog became extremely weak, so doctors administered IV Glucose. After half bottle of glucose, he has started responding a bit.
˜ Doctor gave him following injections on day 1
I LOVE DOGS! Tetracyclin, Anti - Emitic and B-Complex
˜ Next Day, the Vet gave another half bottle of Glucose and following injections:
I LOVE DOGS! Strepto-Pencilin, Doxy-Cyclin and some sedatives.

The doctor suspects that this is a case of leptopyrosis, but I donft think he has diagnosed it well. I suspect it can be something else as the symptoms are common to many other diseases (I guess)

Please help me out - what to do? I love my dog very much and cant see him like this. He is very serious and keeps on crying all day and night long. I have contacted almost every vet in the city and everybody in my family quite concerned. Please make my doggie healthy again
Any kindof help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a million
Ricky & Robin (the Dog)

Default

the reason he is in pain is because lepto causes the kidneys to swell. he should be on a lot of fluids round the clock other than the glucose to flush out the kidneys

did you call the other vets to see him or to just ask their opinion? I'm sure they would have told you that they can't diagnose anything without seeing the dog.

sweets??

he is vomiting liquids only because he has no solids to vomit.

excessive drinking & urination are signs of kidney failure

I'm afraid this is going to take a lot of time & money & you will have to be very careful after the dog comes home. if he recovers, he may still shed the virus for months so you won't be able to have him around any other dogs.
