Default Is this Possible?

I would like to find out if it is possible to get my dogs to learn to poo once a day instead of 3-4 times each day, i guess just feeding them the normal amount of food that they have now just once a day instead of it being broken into smaller meals would do this, and if so at what age can they be fed once a day, or is any age ok.

no it is not possible, nor should you try. would you be able to control how often you go to the bath room.

how often they are fed depends on their age however they should be fed a minimum of twice a day all their lives.

if they go to long between meals it can cause their glucose levels to drop which can cause seizures.

also, better quality food creates less poop

why do you ask?

My dogs are 7 years, and 2 1/2 years. They both are still fed twice a day, and have treats after visits outside. Most days, they poo first thing in the morning and again around 3:30 in the afternoon. They are fed a top quality food, and I think that helps. It is very rare that they have to poo more than that.

Controlling their meal to control their poo times may cause some trouble on your dogs specially on their stomach and health. If you plan to lessen their intakes, the food should have quality nutrition.

Wishbone, I'm really curious - what trouble would that cause?

All 4 of mine are RAW feed once daily. There is very little "poo" from any of them. No more than once daily and some days none at all.

Try diapers if you find there pooping to much work. (This is me being sarcastic.) Why would you even ask this question? Minn

teaching them just to poop a day will be really hard since pooping is a natural thing to do for animals...
