Hmmm...I'm a cynic I guess...my first thought was that this was a scam.
Assuming it's not...have you tried to find the dog's owners? Have you checked with the local shelters to see if anyone has reported him missing or checked the local papers for lost and found ads? Have you placed an ad yourself or let the shelters know you have him in case his owners come looking for him? Did he not have a license or any identification to help you? Have you had him checked for a microchip or looked for a tattoo?
If he's really ill and you can't help him, look into rescue in your area and see if they have someone who can look after him properly until his owners or another home can be found for him.
Oh....and your link didn't work for me so I have no idea what your web site says or if any of this was answered there.

Yeah...ok. The link doesn't work. Maybe it's just me, but the .tk doesn't bring up anything.
What is it that is on your website that you can't just say here? What sort of help are you looking for, exactly? Does your web site have a handy way that people can contribute towards this poor little dog's medical expenses perhaps?

Well..."John"...I finally managed to get to your site. Seems my first instinct was right after all, this is just a scam.
First: I did a bit of research on the .tk domains, since I'd never heard of them. They are free domain sites run out of some place in New Zealand and are known to be used by scammers and phishers, because of their redirecting (so as to conceal the source). Most ISP's provide free web hosting so I have to wonder why someone who says they live in Sacramento is using a shady New Zealand web host.
Second: I read your comments there...$168 dollars for an exam and worming shot...second visit was $82 for an exam...that means you paid $86 to worm him. Pretty high prices even for a vet. Also the way you worded it was a bit odd...you said that "last night" he was sick and then you said the next day you took him to vet again...not...I took him again today or this morning, but the "next day". Like it was a story you were telling and not something you were actually doing.
Third: The pictures. That dog sure doesn't look the least bit sick, and the first pictures of it are just of a wet dog on your porch. The weather in Sacramento has been sunny and in the 70's...so the only way that dog could have been all wet was to have been rolling around in something wet, yet he is perfectly clean...just wet. There isn't one bit of dirt on him, no seed pods or burrs or leaves or twigs or anything that any of my dogs can pick up in one afternoon...yet he was out for about a week? And strange that your first thought, before picking him up or taking him in, was to whip out your cell phone and take his picture several times.
Fourth: I notice that you have been on other dog forums doing the same thing, trying to get people to go to this bogus site and send you money.
Fifth: You have been given excellent advice to get the dog to a rescue who WILL look after it, but you are ignoring that and (supposedly) choosing to keep a sick dog that doesn't belong to you that you can't afford to get treatment for, and begging total strangers to send you money. Is it because you just fell in love with this dog so much that you can't bear to part with him even though you might kill him by keeping him? No.....cause you claim you tried to surrender him to the pound but they wouldn't take him. Yet you want us to believe you care about this dog and aren't doing this to score some free money. Right.
Sixth: According to your story, you have had plenty of time and money as a "full time college student" to take this dog to a vet twice, buy it toys and treats and food and a crate and a collar and take it to the dog park...and all in under a week.
Seventh: That is one cute dog and poms like that generally aren't cheap. I find it impossible to believe this little guy was wandering around residential streets for a week without anyone noticing him or without his owners doing everything they could to find him. They would most certainly have notified every shelter that he was missing.
There is no sick dog and you should be ashamed of yourself for preying on the good hearts of others. There are plenty of dogs out there that really do need help, and plenty of people who sacrifice enormous amounts of their own time and money to help them. Bloodsucking people like you make it harder for everyone by trying to take the limited resources away from the dogs that really need it.
Get a job.
