I believe it the way they were raised. I have a staffordshire bull terrier puppy 6 months. She is very friendly and sociable.

I agree, I think it all depends on the way they are raised. A good example is pit bulls, which I love and do not think are vicious dogs. Many people hate pit bulls because they are known for being mean but I know a few very sweet pits and their owners are all kind and they know what they are doing. The mean pits come from the familys that lock them out side all day and never love them, or if the pit is trained to attack.

Dogs are aggressive in nature IMO...but they can be tamed depending on how you raised them...("

Nature v.s. Nuture ANSWER
The issue here is the term "dangerous dogs" and "aggression." These terms are extremely over used by our society. True aggression and danger is very rare in a dog. Assertive Dominance can be found here and there but easy to redirect with training.
Bully Breeds are bred to be protective/fighting dogs. Fight or Flight? They choose fight. This is called Instinctive Active Assertiveness. Pure genetics.
This genetic code does not make a dog dangerous, mean, or harmful in anyway. Environment and social structure take over from there.
If you abuse, mistreat, or do not provide the proper lifestyle to a certain breed of dog just EXPECT assertiveness/dominance which can lead to aggression. And that is human's fault, not dog.
The difference, and joy, between Wolf and Dog is dog will always "look to the human" for the answer. Our responsibility as human is to provide the correct lifestyle needs to a dog since their survival is dependent on us.
30/70 is my answer. Genetics & Home Life make the dog. You can over come/correct behaviors, but there are cases you can never "fix" due to genetics.

People train dogs to attack perpetrators and people also train there dogs to be friendly therefore dangerous dogs are raised that way not born that way.

It goes hand in hand
I think it comes from training, and any dog can be trained not to be agressive, but some dogs based on their breed are bred to behave a certain way. For instance, a herding dog will have a tendency to herd things. My lap dogs... I didn't have to teach them to prefer to be on my lap. But, the terriers I've had, I didn't have to teach them to yap at everyone who came by.
Rottweilers are working dogs and need to have something to do. It irritates me when people lock them up because they need exercise and involvement.
Pit bulls, although they are bred to fight, I believe can be retrained to be sweet family dogs. But, again, they're big and need exercise and interaction.

well i will have to say both is correct on this question .
lets go with born first
if you take a breed such as lets say the american pit bull breed them take that litter of pups find one that shows a little aggression keep it kill the rest and continue this cycle then down the road yes you can have dogs born for aggression .
raised
yes raising has alot to do with it also you can take a so called mean aggressive dog and spend enough time with it and train it to be a great dog . you can take a nice dog with no aggression and train it to be aggressive
the american pit bull terrier was done like the born says in the early 1900's except they took the ones that showed human aggression and killed them off they kept the animal aggression in the breed . so these american pit bulls are still born with animal aggression just not human aggression

I believe that is how they were raised for the most part. But I do have to add, when I was a groomer, I got bit by more cocker spaniels than by any other breed. That is now the only breed that I am scared of.
