Default Is a grainless food better for dog?

Guys, I need your opinion on this. For those who feed their dogs with a grainless food, what are the good things you noticed? Would you also start a small breed puppy on a grainless diet?

We started feeding a grainless brand to our dog a couple of weeks ago. To me she seems to have much more energy and has lost a little weight (she was too heavy, so that's a good thing).

Thumbs up Grainless Diet

GRAINLESS FOOD IS THE ONLY FOOD!

You could not pay me to feed my dogs grains (i.e. Barley, Wheat, Rice, Corn, etc). Depending on the breed and size most of these are extremely hard on the digestive track.

My Pomeranian puppies are on Orijen Puppy www.championpetfoods.com

Small breeds thrive off of high protein kibbles such as Orijen, EVO, Solid Gold, Taste of the Wild, Natures Variety, etc

If you'd like advise on the best dry kibbles for small breeds let me know!
