Red face Does your dog dig and dig and dig?

Does your dog dig and dig and dig like its nobodies business? My Moses, and English Bull Terrier, can't get enough of the good old soil.

I think it is HILARIOUS :

Overlay.TV - Bull Terrier Digging For Gold

Any crazy digging stories?

Why not build them a sand pit??
Dogs love to dig - its natural and fun - if you build them a sand pit then you can join in - how good is that??:-D
Look at "More Dog Articles" on "Your Dogs" to find out how

my dog will only dig at his sheet inside, never in the mud...he actually even walks around puddles. So I guess he likes digging, but not getting his little feet dirty.

Just normal instinct for them. My dog loves too, and sometimes dig a mouse or a squirrel he just captured, he's really so proud of himself.

Digging is a behavior enforced by breeding. Terrier means "to go to ground" terriers were bred to go into tunnels after rodents and other small animals. Many of the smaller hounds were bred to chase prey below ground..

Funny!!!

My dog used to dig a lot and it's kinda annoying for he was ruining our graden, but after training him not to, he stopped. Digging is a behavioral problem that is caused by stress or boredom or other things. You can stop this problem by diverting his attention to something else.

It's a natural thing for dogs to dig. However if it causes disturbance and damage on your property, then it should be stopped.

when my parents' cavalier king charles spaniel is over at my apartment for a weekend, he loves to "dig" in the bed and sleep under the covers... which I've never seen before. He also kicks all his feet back after doing his business, which makes sense, but it was funny back when he was on puppy pads that he'd do it on carpet.

Their Yorkie isn't all that interested in digging for no reason, but will "dig" and do circles for minutes until his "nest" to sleep in is just right.
