Hey Everybody! I just wrote a letter to my editor reminding everyone of the many thousands of homeless pets in shelters that need food, blankets, toys, treats, etc. We tend to get caught up in the yule tide, and forget the animals in shelters, especially this year with the economy the way it is. I realize that those of you who are members of ILD.com never forget, but most everyone else tends to forget. I asked that everyone slow down a minute when passing the pet food aisle and grab a bag for their local shelter. We usually spend $10-$15 on fellow co-workers or friends, so why not a homeless pet? I also suggested they visit their local thrift store, where used clothing, etc., is sold, and grab some blankets for those cold hard floors or ground. If we all wrote ONE letter, and each letter reached FIVE people, then they told FIVE more people, WOW! Well, whatcha waitin' for? Get tapping on that computer and write a letter to your editor! HO HO HO!
