First off I'm sorry if this topic doesn't belong here. Anyway I was working today and a co-worker of mine suggested a rescue organization. I never heard of a rescue organization for Cockapoos or dogs that aren't purebred. I've heard of fostering them, but never organizations.

So my question is....is there a Cockapoo rescue organization out there? We'd rather rescue than go to a breeder, but if we (as in my parents, brother, and I) can't find one, we'll go to a breeder near here.

I don't know if there is a cockapoo breed specific rescue or not, but it should be easy enough to find out-- simply do a google (or other search engine) search "cockapoo rescue in {your region}." In addition to that, there are numerous all-breed rescue organizations-- yes, they rely on a network of foster homes, but they operate based on a structured organization, which is how they manage funding and approve the adoption applications. And of course, cockapoos will from time to time end up in a local kill shelter as well. A couple of other places you can look to find one is at Petfinder.com, and in your local classified ads. Good luck; I hope you find the perfect pooch for your family!

I don't know also any organization for Cockapoo, one of our neighbor before have two Cockapoo and they are actively belong to this Cockapoo Club of America. I can't get in touch with them now.
