How do I....
keep my doggies out of the new kitty cat's food?? At first the cat was nibbling on the dog's food but has completely stopped and eats his own food. But as for the dogs....they keep eating kitty's food and a couple times they have puked it up. I don't know what to do.....

Feed the cat on separate room. I think cat food has more protein content which might be too much for dogs. Also watch your dogs if they will try to eat the cat's poo.

Yeah, my husband said the same thing about the protein... I keep finding nice puke trails of cat food. you would think after getting sick on it enough times they'd figure it out but I understand dogs don't deduct stuff like humans - they have no idea the cat food is making them puke. they just know it tastes good. And God forbid they start eating cat poo.

In my case, I put the cats food dishes up on a table this way the dogs cannot get to it. See if you have something like this for them to use.

I had no choice with 13 Miniature Pinschers, 1 German Pinscher, 3 Papillons and 2 Italian Greyhounds. Otherwise the cats would never have food to eat so alas they eat at the dining table.

When my cat was alive, our master bath was large enough to keep his litter box, and his food/water in there. We then installed a kitty door in the master bath door, and kept the door closed, so our puppy could not get in there. It also served as a sanctuary if the cat needed to get away from the puppy. Incidentally, we still have the kitty door, but our kitty has been gone for 3 years...

You can try putting the cats food up high like on the counter that will keep your doggies out of their food for sure... Good luck
