best way to socialize dogs with cats??
Alright so my cat kinda didn't help me or herself for that matter when we got Ceejay last year. At the time she was hell on four lil paws who thought everyone should play rough with her including the puppies(we had Ceejay's brother here at the time for my sister). She would treat him like another cat, and basically dive bomb them or jump them any chance she got. This sort of activity ended on her part quickly once they reached around 15 pounds and figured out her ways. Though I always tried to prevent that sort of behavior it didn't always work out how I wanted. Ceejay has eased off a lot now that he is almost a year old, and his brother moved out to a slightly manageable point. My concern is now with Nova who is an Alaskan Malamute mix(I've heard they tend to have issues with cats). My cat learned her lesson about playing with the puppies with the other two, but now both of my cats avoid her at all costs. I have introduced her to them and so far things are going well with the slight exception to her meeting with my 11 year old long haired cat. She greeted him fine then he turned around, and trotted away with his fluffy tail which I think is just a little too tempting to her right now.
Anyway since she is supposed to have a really high prey drive what is the best course of action to get her properly socialized with the cats so we can prevent as many future problems as possible?
