Default New Dog meets Old Dog

Our son and his new yellow Lab puppy (4 month old male) recently moved back into our home. We have and 11 year old Lab-Terrier Mix, (Snowflake) who has been an "only" dog since we brought her home as a puppy. Snowflake is quiet, submissive and does not want to interact with the puppy. The puppy (Kobe) is very social, active and wants to play with Snowflake constantly. He chases her, takes her toys, bed & food (if we are not fast enough to stop him) and generally annoys her. How do we get Snowflake to relax around the new puppy? This is definately adding stress to our household!

You always need to supervise them from someone or both become aggressive. You could plan some additional activity for the puppy to stress out his energy like fetching or extremely durable toys to chew or tug.

Thank you! We are trying to keep the puppy really well exercised and I will be more careful of supervising the dogs when they're together, I appreciate your feedback!
