Well well well. How do I start with this awesome news?

Timber saw a dog coming towards him on the opposite side of the road. Yes, he did pull ,but I blocked and had him wait. It only took 5 minutes to get him calm and then we happily went on our way. big improvement from the park last week. I know it was on the other side of the road, but hey it was a step in the right direction.

I think he has issues with toys though. He is funny. He takes the squeeker toys of Gizzy's and he puts them in a semi circle. That is all he does with them ,but he always takes them in the same order each and every time. it is so cute. He will look throughout the house for the first one. usually the donut (green and yellow) then he takes the pink cow, then he takes the blue dog, the orange and blue donut, the yellow and brown bone, then the orange duck, and then the purple dolphin. In that order everyday. when I pick up the toys and put them places he will search for them in that order and bring them back in a semi circle. after doing this, he lays down all proud of himself.

Does anyone else have funny things their dogs do?

Does anyone have an idea why he would do this? could it be because he never had stuff like that and his pack slept in semi circle form?

Still can't get him interested in dog treats much. Maybe once a week. He is not food motivated. Perhaps it was because he didn't get enough to eat where he was and now he does and he gets full or perhaps just not use to the food as being anything but satisfying a very empty belly.

Don't know about him sometimes. he can surprise me and he makes me laugh. oh boy do I love timber.

Gizzy hasn't changed much since Timber came. She doesn't bark at people walking by her (so she could get their attention and pats). that has decreased by about 40% now. so we are working on that. I guess having a bigger dog around (although he is a big baby) gives her some security. She came from a house with multiples of dogs mostly large ones. So, all is well. she just stares at Timber like what on earth are you doing. when he puts her squeeker toys in a semi circle. I love gizzy so much, she is my cuddle bug. timber lays by my feet and gizzy curls up next to me and we have cuddle time after everyone is settled in for the night. Dogs are awesome.

By the way, Timber has toys of his own too.

just thought I would give you some more of our small step progress.

Dogs are creatures of habit and I guess that's why he does it. It does sound cute and funny though. My chihuahua has a toy box and she's always taking her toys out and scatters them all over the house. When I'm vacuuming I first pick up her toys and place them into her box, she then waits and when she sees that I'm finished with the vacuum she goes to the toy box and dumps her toys out all over again.
